First Flower, inspired by: a crystal serving plate & the leaves were inspired by a paint sample card.
Second flower, inspired by: the shape of the first flower & leaves + the grooves on a slice of cheese I was cutting.... for real.
Third Flower, was inspired by the first flower & leaves + a quilt design (inside flower) & a crop circle design... Here is the latest in the crazy abstract flower series... the leaves are just penciled in, but I am loving the entire process!
Each element of the flowers was first drawn on tracing paper & then step & repeated until the canvas was covered. I am taking the photos into Illustrator & redrawing them to create digital patterns. Also loving this process. Then I will fill the canvases w/ crazy colored dots- also love that. Wheeee!
